New Book Reveal

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I last posted, but it's because I have been so busy this summer. I'm sure many of you have as well, and I'd love to hear your summer stories! I'll write about my summer in a few weeks, so stay posted!

Speaking of stories, I realized a few weeks ago how long it had been since I last wrote a book, and I really miss it. Writing is a wonderful pastime, especially for people who need a creative outlet. I've started several potential stories over the past year, but I never seemed to get past the first chapter for any of them. Simply put, I didn't feel any inspiration. Instead of writing, then, I read books of every genre for school and for fun.

One genre I've particularly enjoyed is fantasy fiction (not sure what fantasy fiction means? Think 'The Chronicles of Narnia,' 'The Hobbit,' 'The Underland Chronicles,' and the Harry Potter series). As I read some books in this category, I acquired a respect for their authors. After all, most fantasy stories involve made-up worlds with creatures, plants, and customs far different than our own.

Once I realized how much I missed writing, I decided I would try to write a fantasy fiction novel for tweens and teens. I have already begun to write the first chapter, and I feel plenty of inspiration as I create a brand new world. Every time a name or idea comes to my head for this story, I have written it down, and I already have a basic synopsis of the book.

Because of your loyal dedication to my blog, I want your feedback. If you have any ideas for a name of a character or a place, please don't hesitate to let me know! You can comment on this post or email me privately through the chat box on the main page! I need all the help I can get to fully develop this book and its setting/characters. Thanks y'all!

With His Love,

Alyssa

  1. That's great, Alyssa! I'm so glad you finally got some inspo! As for ideas, I just know I always enjoy reading books that are set where I leave or nearby. Obviously, you will not be able to cater to everyone, but that has always made me feel more connected to the book.
