Valentine's Day and a Quick Life Update

Hi y'all! Happy Valentine's Day! It's been a while since I posted a life update, but I've been soooooooooo busy! My senior year is coming along well, and in just 100 days I'll be on that stage receiving my diploma! So crazy and exciting! There are also new developments in the book I've been writing, as well as an incredible opportunity to serve God this summer. Finally, I have some exciting news about college, so keep on reading!

So far all of my graduation and senior party planning has been simpler than I thought. I was voted senior representative/coordinator for my class, which basically means I'm in charge of communicating dates and deadlines to members of the class. Not everybody has cooperated well, but most have so I'm counting that a success. Today I recorded my audio speech for the actual graduation. Tomorrow I plan to meet with our senior pastor for an accountability meeting. Looking forward to that!

Back over the summer I started working on my latest book. It's a fantasy fiction story with interesting characters and crazy plot twists! As of right now most of the storyboarding has been completed, but the actual book itself only has a few completed chapters. But since most of the storyboarding is complete, the rest of the writing should come smoothly! I am still looking for character name inspirations, as well as any suggestions of something you want to read in a fantasy book. You can email me or comment below if you have any suggestions!

Also, back in December I applied for, and was offered, a summer job at Camp Grace! As many of you know, I served there for a week last summer, and fell in love with it! This year I will hopefully work for six weeks on the stage team. I'm so thankful for this opportunity, and still praying for all the logistics to be worked out.

Okay y'all. Here's the exciting college news. A few weekends ago I competed for three top academic scholarships at North Greenville University. Two of the scholarships were full rides, one was for $18,000 a year. I had to participate in a group discussion and project, and be interviewed by three staff members. I was so terrified the whole time, though I did enjoy meeting new people. For about two and a half weeks I waited to hear the results. Monday, my admissions counselor called me to tell me I was chosen to be a winner of the NGU Fellows Scholarship! This is one of the full ride scholarships! I am sooooooooooooooooooo excited! Ever since I was a little girl I've wanted to avoid college debt. My mom told me I had to work hard to get scholarships, and now I've achieved that goal! May the praise go to God alone! I know I never could have received the scholarship if it weren't for Him. He gave me the ability and desire to learn and work hard. He is the One who placed it on the judges' hearts to choose me. I am so thankful.

I hope y'all have had a wonderful past few months. Please keep me in your prayers as I have a lot of adjusting to do this year. Let me know if you have any prayer requests by emailing me or putting them in the comments section below! God bless you!

With His Love,
