The Lowcountry Ruby

My sister and I a few years ago. I know you can't really tell by my weirdo smile, but I am excited in this photo!           Happy fall, y'all! Today officially begins my favorite time of year! I'm extremely excited! 🍂😄 Fall and winter (through December) bring me joy. I adore the cool, fresh air that comes here around October.     With the start of a new season,  I am reminded of Ecclesiastes 3:1, which reads "There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven."  There is a season for everything, and right now it is a season of joy in my house!      I probably should be more of a summer person, because I live in the Lowcountry, where it's hot and humid more often than not. However, every year I try to love summer, but that effort lasts about three weeks, then I'm ready for fall. So now, I can finally be excited about fall without feeling guilty about it!      One of ...

          Hooray! Today is the first day of September! I love this month because it means that summer is coming to an end! I'm not much of a summer person, as I believe I may have mentioned in an earlier post. I love the time from fall all the way to Christmas. Unfortunately, here in the Lowcountry, it doesn't feel like true fall until late October or early November. However, it is comforting to know that cooler weather is coming! 🍁🍂      I also like September because some of my favorite activities start this month! My church's youth group starts today, and my church's youth choir starts in about a week and a half. Do any of you guys have any activities starting back this month?
